Mike

Mike’s Bio!! (Mike + Bio = Mio? or Bike?)

Despite what some historians and scholars have suggested about the origins of Mike de Kozlowski, he is not a result of a regrettable one night stand between Sasquatch and Ashton Kutcher.  Born and raised in Irmo, SC (home of the OKRA STRUT!!) Mike started getting involved with music when he attempted to play the cello in elementary school, but that battle proved to be one that he could not come out victorious.  After failing to master the challenging scores such as: Hot Cross Buns, the Can-Can, and Good King Wensenclas on cello he began playing percussion instead.

He played percussion in the middle school and high school bands throughout his years as a young’n and was an active member of the school’s drumline.  On top of that he was involved in a mildly successful high school band along with the genius of Danny Martin, Chris Wilson, and Connor Hinson.  Their band won prestigious awards such as first place in their high school’s field day battle of the bands for two years in a row… After Martin and Wilson graduated a year before Mike, the band split and Mike swore off the drumset and went through a dark downward spiraling time in his life (musically that is, and it actually wasn’t dark, downward, or spiraling).

After graduating high school, attending two different colleges, travelling to another country, and changing majors three or four times, Mike ended up becoming a Cock back in his home state of South Carolina at the University of South Carolina.  He is currently an Environmental Science major at USC and is enjoying his time doing nonsense and pretending to be a drummer with Ned Durrett and the Kindly Gents gigging around the Southeast.
