Jerry

Asleep for the majority of the 90′s, Jerry awoke. Always a fan of music, but captivated by the sounds one could produce with a bass, at a medium age, Jerry was given one. He picked up the shiny black instrument and began to play. He then put it down. For years. Until he picked it up again and Jerry began to play once more… for years.

Since then he has been touring, recording, and playing live shows to very nice people who don’t suspect he can play very well. In fact, Jerry isn’t so sure he can play very well and continues to strive towards a level of bass idealism and mastery that only he can recognize.

A proud Yankee, Jerry ThompSon is the only member of the Kindly Gents who hails from above the Mason Dixon line. He has a quite favorable opinion of snow and cold weather. While some may think that these opinions alone are what makes this particular fellow so eccentric, rest assured, a similar sentiment is echoed back in the icy land of his birth.

Still, he pursues spreading his own brand of spacey style of everything, always searching for an honest expression of art, passion, beauty, and emotion in all music. Until that day, in his own words… “I just do stuff.”
